It's Friends Again

Friends, what are they good for?
Just about everything...
When I am sick, they send happy thoughts and concern, some even get me hot cocoa.
When I am in trouble, they stand by and say what can I do, where can I lend a hand.
When I am sad, they try their best to put a smile on my face and most often succeed.
When I am happy they share with me in my joy and add to it ten fold.
When I have sorrow they wipe my tears, hold my hand, and ease the ache in my heart.
When I am bitchy they listen and listen again...waiting patiently for me to be reasonable (what being bitchy is not reasonable!!!!).
When I am feeling sorry for myself they gently point it out and redirect me.
When I am tired they remind me to rest.
When I am too serious they admonish me to lighten up, smile, be wild play a bit.
When I need conversation they will talk to me about anything.
When I need silence they allow me that.
When I need company they are there on the spot.
When I need aloneness they let me know they will be there for me when needed.
When I need laughter they are quick to amuse me, bring out my smiles.
What are friends good for, why all of the above and so much more.
Friends are the reason I breathe.

To all of you real world and in cyber I am thankful for you.
